Meredith provided a bespoke service to me as part of a research fellowship. The twelve sessions of psychosocial supervision (akin to ‘non-clinical supervision’) were extremely beneficial to both my research and my wellbeing. As well as increasing my awareness of how I bring my own subjective experience into the frame, working with Meredith deepened my understanding of the research topic. For instance, during the later sessions I experienced the emergence of far-reaching connections between the systemic and situated levels of my analysis that I had struggled to integrate previously. Meredith also helped me to navigate difficult interpersonal and institutional dynamics and to identify my own core priorities. I always felt seen and held in a positive regard, which helped to create a safe space for this deep work.

I feel blessed to have been mentored by Meredith. I entered academia at a relatively late stage in my career, but in the three years since attaining my PhD I have secured a very large external grant and have been promoted to Senior Lecturer. I would not have achieved so much so quickly without Meredith's guidance and support. She is the definition of critical friend. She wants the best for me and challenges me to promote my strengths and work on my weaknesses. She actively listens and is able to provide sound advice because of her ability to hear both the spoken and the unspoken. Over a period of three years, she has consistently provided me with sound advice and insights that have enabled me to navigate an often-fraught working environment. She has been both my champion and trainer; I would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to be mentored by Meredith to seize the moment, it will be a seminal point in your professional career. Her gentle guidance has changed my life in such a positive way that I doubt I will ever truly be able to repay her. Her integrity and honesty are both an inspiration and a breath of fresh air and I feel excited for anyone who works with Meredith.

I have known Meredith for more than 15 years as a colleague, co-researcher and friend. We have worked together on multiple projects including an international, multi-site investigation and a prize-winning book. Meredith has huge experience as a successful academic and as research leader, fostering the talents of more junior colleagues as well as developing and maintaining links with non-academic, third-sector organizations. She has submitted numerous successful grant applications, has an array of high quality books and articles, and has led research teams as well as REF submissions. She has a deep understanding of how to develop academic careers. Meredith is also clearly a talented therapist with excellent insights into interpersonal relationships at work and beyond. I have worked with her recently to identify important priorities in an extremely frenetic work environment where it is rarely possible to take time to reflect. Meredith skillfully helped me to navigate an achievable path through multiple and competing demands on my time. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs help to manage their aspirations at any stage of life.
